Report illegal content

How to report content on xtwo.events that you consider illegal, and what happens after you do.

Who can use this

Anyone. You do not need an account and you do not need to be invited to an event.

This procedure is for content you consider illegal. If you are a guest and simply want your photo removed, it is faster to ask the host of the event, or to write to us without using this form.

What a notice should contain

Send your notice by email to kontakt@xtwo.dev with the subject "Content report". So that we can act on it, please include:

1The exact address (URL) of the content concerned. For a single photo, open it and copy the address from your browser.
2An explanation of why you consider the content illegal, with enough detail for us to understand the issue.
3Your name and email address. This is required for notices concerning personality rights or intellectual property; for notices concerning child sexual abuse or offences against life and limb you may remain anonymous.
4A statement that you believe in good faith that the information in the notice is accurate and complete.

We cannot act on a notice without the content address or without an explanation. In that case we will come back to you and ask for the missing detail.

What happens next

1We confirm receipt without undue delay, if you left an email address.
2We assess the notice in a timely, diligent, non-arbitrary and objective manner. The decision is taken by a human; we use no automated decision-making.
3If the content is illegal or breaches our terms, we remove it or disable access to it. In serious cases we may restrict or terminate the host's account.
4We inform you of the decision and, with a statement of reasons under Article 17 of the Digital Services Act, the person who posted the content.
5If a notice indicates a criminal offence involving a threat to the life or safety of a person, we inform the competent authorities without delay.

Statement of reasons and objection

When we remove content or restrict access to it, we provide the person who posted it with a clear and specific statement of reasons: which content is concerned, what measure was taken and on what basis, whether the measure followed a notice or our own check, and how the decision can be challenged.

If you believe your content was removed in error, write to kontakt@xtwo.dev explaining why. We will review the decision and restore the content if it was wrong. Your right to go to court is unaffected.

As a micro-enterprise we are not required to operate an internal complaint-handling system under Article 20 of the Digital Services Act, but we consider every objection.

Copyright notices

Send copyright notices the same way. In addition to the items listed above, identify the work concerned and state the basis on which you are the rightsholder or are authorised to act for them.

We also accept notices drafted in the form commonly used in the United States. Note that the provider is established in Germany, that the procedure follows European Union and German law, and that we do not rely on the US liability safe harbour.

Misuse of this procedure

Where notices are manifestly unfounded and repeated, we may suspend handling them for a reasonable period after issuing a prior warning.

Submitting a notice containing false statements may give rise to legal liability towards the person whose content was reported.
